Biography

Aishu Leitz is a 33-year-old stay-at-home mom from Georgetown, Massachusetts and a contestant on MasterChef Season 16: Global Gauntlet, where she is competing on Team Asia Pacific representing India. A Boston-based South Indian content creator who spent the last decade assimilating to Boston's New England way of life and tech startup culture. When she got laid off last summer (2025), she did something she had never let herself do before, to stop and ask what she actually wanted for herself. Four days later, she applied for MasterChef on Fox with Chef Gordon Ramsay.

She decided like so many women, to step back from her career to care for her children, in her case, three under three. But unlike the narrative we're all familiar with, it wasn't just for her children. It was for herself too. And she gave herself the one thing she had never really allowed before: time to figure it out.

Adopted in India, her family moved to Tampa, Florida in the 90s to give her and her brother a better life. While Boston may know her as an ambitious businesswoman, her hometown remembers her as a classically trained Indian dancer and singer, someone who spent over a decade performing all over Florida and many summers in India rooted in family and tradition.

She is now on a journey to showcase South Asian pride through elevated comfort food in Boston. The kind of cooking that makes you feel like you're being taken care of and learning about culture but being treated to something at the same time.

Watch her proudly represent Asia-Pacific as she competes for a coveted apron on MasterChef Season 16: Global Gauntlet.
