Mark “Billy” Billingham served 27 years in the military, beginning with the Parachute Regiment in 1983 and later joining the SAS in 1991, where he specialized in Mountain Troop operations. He led strategic missions across Iraq, Afghanistan, South America, and Africa, including countless hostage rescues, and earned an MBE for leading a British hostage rescue in Iraq and the Queen’s Commendation for Bravery for capturing an IRA sniper. As a Warrant Officer Class 1, he was among the SAS’s highest ranks, with expertise in counter-terrorism, sniping, jungle warfare, and survival training. Post-military, he became a bodyguard for celebrities like Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, and Tom Cruise.
