Grant Mattos

Grant Mattos finished eighth on Survivor: Redemption Island, where he formed a strong bond with Rob Mariano. As a former NFL wide receiver, he was a physical asset to the Ometepe tribe and won several challenges. Despite his close relationship with Rob, he was blindsided near the end when Rob deemed him too big of a jury threat. Grant was so upset by the betrayal that he reportedly did not speak to Rob for years after the show.
