LJ McKanas finished ninth on Survivor: Cagayan as the leader of the Beauty tribe. As a horse trainer from Massachusetts, he was seen as a patient and quietly dangerous player who controlled the Solana alliance. He was blindsided by Tony Vlachos in one of the season's biggest moves when Tony used his idol and flipped on his alliance. LJ's elimination marked the beginning of Tony's aggressive endgame strategy.
