Marissa Peterson finished seventeenth on Survivor: Blood vs. Water as the niece of original Survivor Gervase Peterson. She was voted out early because her uncle's celebration after a challenge victory angered the opposing tribe. Marissa became a casualty of the Blood vs. Water format where loved ones' actions had consequences. She was eliminated at Redemption Island shortly after.
