Sylvia Kwan was a 52-year-old Architect from Ross, California when she competed on Survivor: Fiji as the oldest woman of the season. A UC Berkeley graduate with both a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Architecture, Sylvia was the founder and Chairman of a renowned San Francisco architectural firm, a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects, and had designed interiors for Pacific Bell Park. She was tasked with dividing the tribes on Day 1 and was immediately sent to Exile Island as the odd person out. Sylvia joined the losing Ravu tribe after the first Tribal Council and was voted out on Day 8 in a 4-3-1 vote, becoming the subject of the first split vote elimination strategy of the season.
