Dan Barry

Daniel Barry was a 51-year-old Astronaut from South Hadley, Massachusetts when he competed on Survivor: Panama, bringing one of the most impressive resumes in the show's history. A Cornell University electrical engineering graduate who earned both a doctorate from Princeton and a medical degree from the University of Miami, Dan was a former NASA astronaut who logged over 734 hours in space including four spacewalks across three space flights. He immediately bonded with fellow aviator Terry Deitz on the La Mina tribe, promising never to lie to each other. Dan was voted out on Day 15 in a 3-1 vote when the La Mina alliance was forced to turn on each other, and he later competed on ABC's Battlebots captaining the robot 'Black Ice.'
