Gary Hogeboom was a 46-year-old Former NFL Quarterback from Grand Haven, Michigan when he competed on Survivor: Guatemala. A Central Michigan University quarterback who was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in 1980 and played 11 seasons in the NFL including stints with Indianapolis, Phoenix, and Washington, Gary attempted to hide his football career by using the pseudonym 'Gary Hawkins' and claiming to be a landscaper. He made history as the first contestant ever to find a Hidden Immunity Idol after observing Judd Sergeant's deceptive clues, and successfully used it to save himself while eliminating Bobby Jon instead. Gary was voted out on Day 30 as the third jury member after his idol was gone, and his elimination episode aired on Thanksgiving Day immediately following a Dallas Cowboys NFL game.
