Gregg Carey was a 27-year-old Business Consultant from Chicago, Illinois when he competed on
Survivor: Palau. A University of Pennsylvania graduate with a degree in Chemical Engineering who played college football, Gregg was originally from Ashland, Massachusetts and worked as a project manager before transferring to Chicago. He formed a showmance with Jenn Lyon that became one of the season's central storylines, and the two dated briefly after filming before remaining friends until her passing in 2010. Gregg was a strong physical competitor with 13 challenge wins but was blindsided in 6th place when Tom and Ian perceived him as a threat. He later co-founded Voxy, an award-winning education platform teaching English, and is married with a daughter named Suvi born in 2021.
