Russell Swan finished fifteenth on Survivor: Philippines after returning from his medical evacuation in Samoa. As an environmental attorney from Pennsylvania, he was determined to prove himself after collapsing during a challenge in his first season. However, his Matsing tribe became the worst-performing tribe in Survivor history, losing every immunity challenge. Russell was voted out as the tribe's fourth member to go, devastating him emotionally.
