Sydney Sterlace, a 15-year-old from Buffalo, New York, is a rising star representing Team Gwen in The Playoffs. The only musical talent in her family, Sydney has always enjoyed unwavering support from her loved ones. Her journey began at just 7 years old, competing in local talent shows, and by 10, she had already won first place at the Erie County Fair talent competition. Since then, Sydney’s career has blossomed, including singing the national anthem at Buffalo Sabres and Buffalo Bisons games and regularly performing at a local music arts festival organized by Robby Takac of the Goo Goo Dolls. Her mom has been a cornerstone of her success, tirelessly finding competitions and opportunities for Sydney to shine. Most recently, Sydney won a TikTok challenge sponsored by BroadwayEvolved, earning an all-expenses-paid trip to New York for a weeklong Broadway intensive with Betsy Wolfe—an unforgettable experience that reinforced her passion for performing. Sydney’s talent, hard work, and supportive family have made her a standout on The Voice stage.
