Yannis

Yannis is a 28-year-old pediatric doctor originally from Vienna, Austria, who moved to London at age 11 and grew up in a Bangladeshi household. His first baking memory is making bhapa pitha with his grandmother, while he later learned classic Austrian treats at school. Now, as a contestant on The Great British Bake Off Season 17, Yannis draws on a range of culinary cultures when creating his bakes, balancing his time in the kitchen with work in a busy neonatal intensive care unit.
