💔 David Kinne Reveals Girlfriend Dumped Him After S48 Loss

The blindsided Survivor contestant claims Joe “absolutely” broke his word multiple times and explains why his correct reads on fellow players couldn’t save him from elimination. David Kinne’s journey on Survivor 48 came to a shocking end when his allies turned against him, despite his accurate assessment of the game’s hidden dynamics and alliances.

“The first time I saw my name, I knew it was over.”

That moment was particularly painful as he had correctly identified Kyle and Kamilla’s secret connection and Shauhin’s attempts to work with Kamilla—insights his alliance refused to believe despite his detailed predictions of their gameplay.

Joe Hunter became David’s primary target post-elimination, with David revealing Joe had sworn on his children never to betray him. “He swore he would never stab me in the back. He would just give me a sword rather than a dagger to the back,” David explained, adding that Joe broke his word both when voting out Chrissy instead of Kamilla and again when eliminating David himself.

The shocking immunity challenge loss may have sealed David’s fate when he told Jeff Probst he “should have won” after losing focus momentarily. Though David later congratulated Joe on the win for Joe’s childrens’ sake, the comment likely further damaged their already strained relationship, as “Joe is very easily offended.”

Despite the betrayal, David maintains he had strong jury management and positive relationships across the tribe. He reveals both Chrissy and Cedrek claimed they would have voted for him had he reached the final tribal council, with his Ponderosa reunion with Chrissy being nothing but “hugs and smiles” despite their heated exchanges on the show.

In a surprising personal update, David confirmed his relationship status changed shortly after filming. “A few weeks after she found out I didn’t win, she was out the door,” he shared about the girlfriend he’d mentioned during many of his confessional scenes on Season 48. The silver lining? David is now “dating the most incredible woman” and feels “almost glad I didn’t win a million dollars.”

👀 Where Are the Sister Wives Now?

Nearly 15 years after Sister Wives first introduced America to plural marriage, Kody Brown’s once-united family has completely fractured, with the patriarch now declaring, “I’m not interested in plural marriage anymore. The TLC series that began by showcasing the interconnected lives of Kody with wives Meri, Janelle, Christine and Robyn has transformed into a documentation of the family’s dramatic dissolution.

Since premiering in September 2010, viewers have watched as the Browns navigated legal challenges, cross-country moves, and the complex dynamics of sharing one husband among four women. The family’s journey began when Kody was already married to three women and courting Robyn, who would become his fourth and now only remaining wife after a series of spiritual divorces.

Kody’s dramatic reversal on polygamy came in an April 2025 episode where he admitted he no longer wants the “headache, the questions, the struggles” that come with plural marriage, choosing instead to live monogamously with Robyn following his separation from the other three wives who once made up their sprawling 18-child family.

The legal structure of the Brown family has undergone significant changes since their television debut, including Kody divorcing first wife Meri in 2014 to legally marry Robyn while maintaining “spiritual marriages” with all four women through their church’s covenant system — an arrangement that ultimately proved unsustainable.

What began as a united family fighting legal persecution—even challenging Utah’s polygamy laws in the landmark Brown v. Buhman case—has evolved into separate households and independent lives. Click below for the full story of how the sister wives have reinvented themselves after dedicating decades to a lifestyle that Kody himself has now completely abandoned.
