Evan James

Evan James Ward is a 22-year-old singer from Highland, Michigan, who grew up singing in choir and theater while working alongside generations of relatives on his family’s 175-year-old Christmas tree farm. Initially recruited to swim in college, Evan eventually realized that music, not athletics, was his calling. After transferring to Michigan State University, he began cold-calling venues, booking his own shows and performing as many as six nights a week across Michigan’s college towns. A recent graduate of the Public Relations program as well as a Christian and worship leader, Evan credits his family as the foundation of everything he does. As a child, he and his sister would spin around in rolling chairs pretending they were coaches on The Voice. Now, Evan is leaving Michigan and arriving in California for the first time to turn that childhood game into reality as a contestant on Team Adam.
