Jaukeem Fortson, a 13-year-old from Elberton, Georgia, is the youngest contestant on The Voice Season 26 and is on Team Bublé in The Playoffs. Known around his small town as “the little music man,” Jaukeem’s love for singing started in church, where he often wakes his mom up early so they don’t miss a service. His reputation has grown beyond the church, leading to performances at weddings, parties, and local fairs. One of his standout moments was singing at a Juneteenth festival in Greenville, South Carolina, which helped him gain even more attention. Now, people regularly contact his mom—who also manages him—to book him for events. Despite some family challenges, Jaukeem radiates positivity. His grandma has dementia, but singing with her brings them both joy, and though his relationship with his father isn’t as close as he’d like, Jaukeem is grateful for the support of his uncle, Mario, who attends all his performances and school events. Even though he was only 7 months old when The Voice first aired, Jaukeem has been a dedicated viewer for the past three years and has dreamed of the day he could step on its stage as a contestant.
