Joe Henley

Joe Henley is a 19-year-old singer from Grand Bay, Alabama, who grew up surrounded by faith, family and country music. His grandparents operated a tiny ministry in the back room of a truck stop, where Joe first sang beside his grandfather and later helped his grandmother continue worship after his grandfather’s death. Although basketball dominated much of his youth, a serious back injury and months of rehabilitation brought depression and anxiety, leading Joe to lean more deeply on his faith, guitar and music. Until recently, he had performed almost exclusively in worship settings and had never seriously considered a professional singing career. A lover of fishing, hunting and stripped-down country storytelling, Joe is still weighing possible basketball opportunities after graduation. As a contestant on The Voice Season 30, he is taking an enormous leap onto Team Riley, where he has the chance to discover a future in music he never imagined was possible.
