Marcus Ladden Jr.

Marcus Ladden Jr. is a 19-year-old singer from Atlanta, Georgia, who has spent his life singing in church, musical theater, choirs and nationally competitive a cappella groups. Known for a remarkably deep baritone that often surprises audiences, Marcus is a musical theater student at Boston Conservatory at Berklee, where he is honing his craft through rigorous training in storytelling, movement and stage presence. Raised by a hardworking single mother and surrounded by strong women, he credits their sacrifice, resilience and guidance with shaping the young man he has become. Marcus also views fashion as another form of artistic storytelling and brings that creativity into his performances. At 16, he came within reach of the Blind Auditions, only to be cut after traveling to Los Angeles. Though disappointing, the experience became a turning point, fueling his growth as an artist and his return stronger. Now stolen by Team Kelly after his battle-round loss, Marcus gets another chance as a contestant on The Voice Season 30 to step out of the ensemble, honor his family and claim the spotlight as his own.
