Jed Hildebrand was a 25-year-old Dental Student from Dallas, Texas when he competed on
Survivor: Thailand. Coming from a family of dentists, Jed earned his Biology degree from Baylor University where he played soccer and was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity before attending Baylor College of Dentistry. He had participated in Christian dental missionary work in Cambodia and Thailand, and worked as a surf instructor in Maui during summer breaks. Jed's perceived laziness around camp and preference for sleeping on the beach rather than helping with the shelter led to his elimination on Day 9, and he later opened Hildebrand Orthodontics with a
Survivor-inspired logo.
